Be Fit For Life

Hi,

My name is Robyn and I think I might die! This could easily be my last blog entry ever!! He he…JUST JOKING!!!

Today was the first day of my Staff Lunch-Hour Fitness Class. YIKES!!

Two weeks ago when I accepted this new contract, I was excited to get into a routine. I have been watching what I’m eating, following the Arbonne Figure 8 Weight Loss program and today – started the exercise portion of my new schedule!! I’m very impressed by my personal action steps and progress. My husband and family even noticed that I shed a couple inches in the past two weeks! Thanks, I’m so lucky to have a beautiful support system!

For two years I had a gym membership! I’m quite sure that when they saw me come in with my husband that they were doing the “YES” action with their arm and visualized $$ symbols when John so kindly signed us up for the two year membership (to save of course!), because I was like many that had the membership but didn’t use it! For awhile I did faithfully go with my keen husband that loves to work out, however I didn’t last long.

When I started this new position, my new friend here told me about these cheap fitness classes offered daily, so I enrolled in the MWF classes. I was quite proud to inform my husband that I had signed up and was working towards my more toned summer body!

Just before noon I made my way to the PE department and got changed. I followed the signs to the “Be Fit For Life” Center – what an inspiring way to describe the workout I was about to endure! I walked up the stairs and found the room that my fitness class was happening in! OH – the infamous room! It was the same place that John and I took our Intro to Social Dance lessons a year ago! It brought back hilarious memories of our fabulous communication course disguised as a dancing class!! I’ll have to share this story with you later as part of our marriage adventures!

The instructor is really nice, encouraging us the whole time. Although I didn’t prefer (my positive way of saying – hate!) the “idea” of working out, the ladies voice was motivating and she painted pictures in my mind of climbing hills during my bike ride, etc!!

Day 1 – I came out sweaty and exhausted, with a red face – bright red! It’s genetic, it happens to my Mom also! All of the blood runs to my face and makes me look like a cherry until I “cool” down – unfortunately makeup doesn’t even do a decent job of covering me up!

This initial experience was rewarding, despite my venting! As I walked back to my office, I felt my butt cheeks tighten up! I’m quite sure it’s because they are becoming more toned, however the reality is probably that it’s just because I’m wearing boots. My pants also feel a little looser, probably associated to the fact that my stomach is currently visiting my backbone and I haven’t eaten since breakfast!

Time for my healthy and nutritious lunch!

Hope you had an amazing weekend and have a fabulous week becoming more fit and reaching your goals!

  2. This takes me back to the days when we would go to the gym at DCCC for Lifetime Fitness. I would do the EFX machine and you would sit on the bike and chatter with everyone who walked in. :) I miss you gorgeous, and I can’t wait to read more blogs about your workout routine!

  3. He he…amazing memories Tiffany! Good ole Lifetime Fitness days – all you had to do was “go” XX number of days – not actually do anything ;) Oh – you’re such a positive influence on me Tiffy! I remember being very disciplined for about a month in college and lost quite a bit and then I came home between KS and TX and put it all back on plus more! Oh life…I love sweets!! Hope you’re doing amazing! Love ya
