Texas Bound

John and I are headed to Texas on Wednesday for his brother’s wedding this weekend! (SO excited to escape this wintery weather – I’m still convinced that Mother Nature is confused!) While visiting Texas I’m going to capture pictures of our travels and post them, so you can see how amazing Texas is and just why I love it so much!

I can’t promise my photos will be postcard quality since I will be taking them with my trusty generic compact digital – but I know they will have Robyn flair and make you smile!!  One day I would love to take a photography class…that’s on my bucket list! Anyhoo…back to my point…

I’ve decided to make this a CONTEST! A fabulous way to kick off a Monday morning and new week! What do you think I should take pictures of? What would you like to see? I’m going to GIVE AWAY a $10 Starbucks Gift Card randomly to one lucky person that comments on this blog entry! Write away…and let me know what you’d like to see!! Who doesn’t LOVE winning something either! Oh, I love surprising people!

Entries will close at 12 Noon MST (daylight savings time!!) tomorrow (Tuesday, March 10), so I can get the winner’s coffee money in the mail before I leave (unless of course the winner is a US diva or dude – then I can pick-up your prize while I’m south of border!) PLUS I’m going to sweeten the pot and let the winner Pay It Forward…more details tomorrow. Hope you’re having an amazing day!starbuckscard

THE WINNER IS….drum roll please…..Shelagh!!
Congratulations!!  I’m guessing the fact that you have 4 kids and that children energy – helped – because the little guy next door drew your name out!  I spotted him when I was cleaning my walk and needed someone else to do the honors!  Hip hip horray for you!  Please be sure to check out the Texas Bound Twist entry – so you know to Pay It Forward with the 1st Starbucks Gift Card you receive!

  1. Hi Robyn!
I so wish I was headed to Texas too. I’m planning a trip in April, can’t wait!
So about the pictures. Since Spring is a snap of the fingers away in Texas I think you should take some pics of nature blossoming. Send them back up here to this wintery weather so we can get a taste of what is around the corner for us!
I hope Y’ALL have an amazing trip!
    Many Blessings,
    Lacy

  2. Hi Robyn
I hope that you have a wonderful trip. Since you are interested in a photography class, I suggest that you start taking creative pictures….John at his old school playground, rustic ranch pictures, A day in the life of the Beazley Family (Texas Style). Then when the two of you are home sick for Texas you can look through your pictures.

  3. Robyn,

I think that you should take a picture of the happy couple in a special way. Like taking a picture of the groom when everyone is looking at the bride or taking a picture during a special moment in their new life together. My favorite is the first look when they are out of the main wedding area their first moments “alone” as husband and wife. Texas is amazing….let me know if you will have a few minute I would love to see you!

    Loves,

    Kattie

  4. just show us some green, green grass, leaves, something…we’re dying for it here. So sick of this snow.

    Lucky you for escaping!!

    have a wonderful trip

  5. The table settings! I love weddings, and I am always curious to see what unique pieces the couple (or bride) chooses for their tables! I have nine weddings from March to September and I plan on making it to seven of them.

I am sure you will have a blast, and hope you find a little time to relax. Can’t wait to hear about your idea for Pay It Forward, I love the idea of it.

  6. Can you take some pictures of the bride and bridemaid’s hair please. I have no idea how I want my hair for my wedding.

  8. I know I’m too late to win, but please take some eye candy pics! I know, it’s selfish and slightly immature, but there are few things as beautiful as a good looking man in a nice hat, button up, starched jeans and cool boots. And these specimens are plentiful in Te-has! Safe travels!
