Life an a Mompreneur (vlog)

Happy Tuesday!!

Oh how interesting life is…I feel like I’m not getting anything productive done these days! Have lots on the go but not doing anything really well…

However whenever I lay my head down at night – I always reflect on the amazing things that did happen! The giggles I got to witness, the discoveries my son makes, the new milestones he reaches (Braxton is close to walking!!)…those are the highlights of my day.

As a Mompreneur, I literally work in the nooks and crannies of my day! Nap times, on the floor beside Braxton with my phone or iPad, after he goes to bed in the wee hours of the night…whenever. Can you relate?

I am ready to ramp up my business and start treating it like a business though and not a hobby! I’m telling you as a form of accountability – thanks in advance for your support.

Enjoy my vlog!!

In my vlog, I talked about my NEW Spring into Action FREE video series and upcoming workshop!! More details HERE

Make today amazing,

Focusing on one thing!

My blogging has slowed down…you’ve probably noticed! Here is a vlog about what’s going on in my world right now.

My world right now!

Dream Big!

Stay Amazing,

10 pages a day

I recently had a friend call and tell me that her business wasn’t moving forward. She didn’t know why, blah blah blah… I was still listening actively – however I had enough “negative” energy within the first statement. I was biting my tongue.

I was thrilled when she gave me permission to talk and asked, “What are you doing different Robyn?”

I asked her one question. “What is the last book you read?”

She hesitated and responded, “…really sat down and read – something in high school.”

The ONLY piece of advice I suggested was to – get to a book store or library and find a new read ASAP. Whether it be inspirational, self-help or business book, anything that is going to move you out of your comfort zone. Put down the Shopaholic and Twilight series (there is a time and place for those awesome books – but that’s aside from a fabulous motivational book).

I knew that my friend needed to fill up her cup and learn.

There are lots of different theories of “how much” reading will make a difference, the best recipe I’ve heard is 10 pages a day.

That’s IT! My personal coach taught me to read / invest in myself 90 minutes a day. I’m a slow reader – but when I suggest 10 pages – that can be done in no time at all!

Read when you wake up laying in bed, taking a bath, eating breakfast, instead of watching TV, over your lunch break, having coffee, waiting on someone while sitting in your car!? Be creative.

Nightstand

(My current reads – Peaks & Valleys, by Spencer Johnson and Flouish! by Meredith Liepelt. Listening to the The 4-Hour Workweek by Timothy Ferriss in my car!)

We make time for ANYTHING that we want to. Don’t tell me you’re too busy. If you are, then you’re telling me you’re too busy to become a more amazing person!

I don’t always make time to read – so I enjoy alternate personal development. I listen to audio books – attend seminars, workshops, conferences – any opportunity to be in the presence of empowering, positive, uplifting people!

Your workplace, local chamber, societies, or community organizations may even have speakers present. Plug into your network – there are many free and cheap opportunities to personally grow!

Remember – 10 pages a day. Try it for 21 days – 3 weeks! Bet it will become a habit – and you’ll do it at least a couple days a week!

Virtual Socializing

It blows my hair back imagining what the future has in store for us! I’ve been so blessed by the new and renewed relationships I’ve developed since email, then MySpace, Facebook, and even on Twitter.

I love how Susan Poirier from Ace Concierge, LLC explained this phenomena (I subscribe to her ezine and love the social media tips & tools she includes):

“Social media is here to stay!

Learn what it can do for you.

Learn what it WILL do for your business!”
