Sunday morning gratitude

Driving in Silence – on my drive last night. After attending the Canadian conference for my Swiss skin care and cosmetics business, I drove in silence. My head was spinning with ideas and I had butterflies of excitement. Instead of turning on the music, I just enjoyed the quiet time!

My amazing Husband – so blessed that he is spending a fun weekend with our son, while I work my business.

John emailed this picture to me this morning. I’d say my husband and son are thriving on their “man” weekend!

My iPhone – while showering and getting ready for my party this morning, I utilized the “iPod” app and listened to my “Amazing” playlist!!

I’m off to pamper my friend Tamara & her friends with a foot soak and diva afternoon. Have a wonderful Sunday!

Stay Amazing,

Braxton Dewey

Braxton Dewey Beazley! Our son surprised us with an early arrival on February 4, 2011 at 3:14pm. Braxton was 7 weeks early, as he was due March 25th!  Pushing down the scale at 2lbs 11oz and was 15 1/4 inches long.

It’s been nearly6 months since Braxton was born and many people have asked “what happened”? Here is our “Baby Story” (reminds me of the TLC show)!

The day before Braxton was born, I started to experience stomach pressure/pain. Originally I thought I had the flu and hung out with my trusty 1st trimester friends – Ginger Ale and saltine crackers! Once I discovered I could keep food down, I did eat a couple meals. I spent the day sleeping on the couch and in bed, I took a bath and 2 showers, and took Tylenol faithfully. I was supposed to go to my Prenatal Aquafit class that night, but when we were headed I told John that he was welcome to still go work out but I didn’t feel up to swimming. We returned home and watched a movie. I couldn’t get comfortable and I couldn’t sleep once we went to bed (not uncommon for pregnant women).

I assumed I was just having an “off” day that comes with pregnancy. At 1:30am I called HealthLink (a service in Alberta where you can call & talk to an RN), simply to see if they could suggest ideas to reduce my pressure or a stiffer pain medication because all pregnant women are allowed is Tylenol. The nurse took my symptoms and suggested I go to the hospital and get checked out.

I woke up John and by 2:00am Friday morning, we arrived at the Lethbridge hospital. I thought our middle of the night trip was simply to get more potent pain medication and was shocked to be diagnosed with HELLP syndrome (high blood pressure & my liver was shutting down – more details on this diagnosis). Reading about the other symptoms of my diagnosis after having Braxton, I looked back and discovered that I started to experience a few of them a week before he was born. Including bloody nose, dizziness and headaches – however, I had just brushed them off.

7 week journey!

Hi friends,

Braxton is HOME!!!!! We brought him home last night and our first night was absolutely amazing. He is an angel and let me sleep a lot! Life IS perfect.

Ironically, I made this video – just 3 hours before we went back to the hospital to sweet talk our Dr & when he was discharged!! I made it to share a bit of our journey in the NICU and 3 tips for those going through a challenging experience.

Thank you SO much for your love, support, and positive thoughts – they are felt every day!

Hugs,

Addition

I adding an image to my Dream Board today!

This picture…

My husband calls my office a disaster zone. You probably would too (if you’re a Type A personality) OR maybe you can relate!?

This is what it looks like TODAY – yikes! I’ve never claimed to be perfect and never will…just to clarify ;)

You may recall that 10 months ago, I blogged about my Home Office AND shared my dream of having a glass door on my office! My fantastic office remains the only room in our home that is out of control. I’ve been attracting the skills and mindset to keep my amazing home office CLEAN! It’s very much a work in progress…

Nearly a year ago, I envisioned seeing John while I was working in my home office. However, my WHY has changed…with our first bundle of joy on route! I want and WILL continue being a career woman – sharing my passion for life, WHILE being present in my son and husband’s life during the day! I now envision getting a few things done in my office in the nooks & crannies of my day, while my son is entertained on the other side of the French Door.

Don’t get me wrong – I don’t plan to continue being the workaholic I am AND make my kid self entertain outside my beautiful french door. BUT we all know the phone will ring and this way – I can still SEE my son – while answering it! OR even witness John play with my son while knocking a few action steps out, when he is home!

I am hoping you’ll help hold me accountable – to hang this door on my office BEFORE Baby Beazley arrives!

Which means that I need to practice and prove to John for a few weeks, that I CAN and WILL keep this space clean enough to see the space daily – even when the door is closed.

MY Goal/Affirmation – It is February 1, 2011 and I am sitting in my clean & organized home office. It met John’s very strict specifications! Now it is March 1, 2011 and have KEPT my workspace clean! I’m off to BUY the french door & HANG IT!!

Do you have a Dream Board? If so, are you constantly adding to it?

Live Inspired,

Texas Christmas

John and I are SUPER excited to be Texas bound on Thursday morning. Only 3 more sleeps…

It’ll be fun to be part of our niece Alexis’ first Christmas.

Alexis with Santa

John had a blast wrapping Alexis & Sloan’s Christmas gifts. His thought was that they needed something easy to grab and tear open ;) He left it open, loose, and saggy like this!

Wrapping Gifts

Have fun sharing the joy of life with others! Merry Christmas.
