Back to my 1 in each room story. On a Friday morning I found out that my son Gradin was going to arrive 4 days later on a Tuesday morning. I’ll share details about my 2nd Baby Story one day. (Here was my 1st Baby Story!) This news came as a complete shock as I’d had an awesome 2nd pregnancy! Gradin was due on Christmas Day and when we got the news, he was going to arrive 5 weeks early.

I quickly contacted my amazingly talented friend Elizabeth, who is an interior designer. I asked if she could come over & help me put my Christmas up over the weekend before going in to have my son. I knew I needed to distract myself from panicking over the recent news and love Christmas – so was excited about the idea of coming home to it being decorated for.

I know Christmas is LONG over but I still wanted to share with you my trees because I was super excited how they turned out.

My girlfriend came over the next morning & helped me put up 6 Christmas trees! She inspired me after I saw her house the Christmas before, with a tree in each room. So after Christmas last year I stocked up on 50-75% off items.

This year I had 1 big, 2 med & 3 mini trees!! One for nearly every room!

I love Christmas and do remember the reason for the season. However I still enjoy decorating for the holidays!

My friend was telling me that she was starting a weight loss program on Thursday! I asked if she would like an accountability partner, maybe even throw a Biggest Loser component into the mix. She was game!!!

The coolest part is, that we live 2200kms/1300miles apart! Our challenge to hold each other accountable is virtual!

10 weeks ago, I looked like this:

It was taken the night before I had Gradin! I’ve managed to quickly shed 24lbs and all of my pregnancy weight with nursing. Please don’t hate me if you gained more than me – God designed us all different! But now I’d love to get my BMI to the “normal” category instead of hanging out in “overweight” mode and lose some inches. Based on the weight that I have to be to achieve this goal, I don’t ever remember being in the normal range – maybe in high school!? If only I could grow taller to recalculate my BMI score!!

My accountability partner & I both weighed & measured in yesterday! I also had my hubby take a “before” picture of me. I won’t scare you with the before picture until I have an “after” picture to also show you! But this selfy was part of my motivation to get back to my goals (I’ll share my cobbler story in a minute)…

My double chin scared me!!

My big goal for 2013 is to run a 1/2 marathon. Which means I have lots of small, baby steps to achieve along the way that include – getting into shape, eating healthier and running a few 5K & 10K runs before the big one!

My amazingly supportive husband gave me this awesome book for Christmas! I was soooo excited for the cool, thoughtful gift.

I’m also incorporating some daily products to my new regime. Luckily, I can shop from my own health & wellness store. Since I’m nursing, I don’t use all of the products because I need to produce milk which requires extra calories. But “healthy & nutritious” calories is the hard part for me when I’m being Octa-Mom!!

The Arbonne Essentials line is AMAZING! I use lots of the products daily and in 2009 I used the entire program exclusively to lose 15 lbs. Here are a couple blog posts about that journey!

I’m using this time with my awesome accountability buddy to work on eating healthier and start training for my runs more consistently. My year started off a bit rocky with training since we had an unexpected ICU chapter. Did I mention that during our 16 days in the hospital, I ate “cobbler of the day” WITH ice cream everyday? Eeeeek!! I slept and stayed there around the clock and my meal as a Breastfeeding Mom was provided.

I’m excited to be back on track!

How are you? I hope amazing! Thanks for visiting my website / blog! It’s been a while since I wrote an entry. I have lots to fill you in on.

Our 2nd son, Gradin Travler Cullen arrived on November 20, 2012. He spent 20 days in the NICU after arriving 5 weeks early and earlier in January was in the ICU at a Children’s Hospital for 16 days. Never a dull moment!! I’m very thankful for wrinkle cream and hair color these days. My two precious boys are putting me through years of experience!!!

Anyway, after the stressful ICU stay, my milk production dropped drastically! Stress, lack of consistent pumping, and lack of sleep will do that to a nursing Mom. So I called up my OBGYN and in addition to a prescription that she gave me, she suggested a “nursing” tea! I was slightly skeptical because I’m not a big tea drinker. Starbucks lattes are more my forte.

I was shocked when my ladies started producing more after just 1 glass of this…

I love flavored creamer, so I had to “Robynize” this drink with a generous helping!! Want tea with your cream style.

I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty this tea is!! The loose leaves look right from nature, so I know it’s healthy ;)

I’m also drinking lots & lots of water!! (another secret to nursing success & helping me get rid of my baby weight)

I just remembered that I heard its National Breastfeeding Week! So I guess this blog entry is timely.

Gradin is now 10 weeks old and Braxton will be 2 in 4 days! Our life is full, abundant and amazing. We’re creating lots of memories!!

What regime do you complete faithfully?

7 years ago, I made a decision that changed my life forever! I’ve been trying to find the words to articulate my gratitude that I was introduced to the Arbonne opportunity. I said YES to using the products, fell completely in love and months later decided to start sharing them with my family & friends.

I have not earned the white Mercedes Benz or promoted to the top level of management yet. However, neither of these things define me.
