Fireworks

This is a random blog about my LOVE for fireworks!! Please bare with me – it was inspired by watching them go off on New Years Eve on television.

I have always LOVED fireworks! One of my dreams was to have them at my wedding. When I announced my desire to my Dad, his response was, “Why? You’re going to make your own after the wedding”…thanks Dad!

In a box of cards I bought a couple years ago, came a funky Fireworks designed one. I haven’t sent it to anyone, instead it is part of my collection! I came across it yesterday when I was doing some office cleaning.

One of my sisters favorite music artists is Katy Perry. You may recall me mentioning OR read it in my book – that I don’t listen to music lyrics very often. I’m more of a beat person and tap my foot before focusing on the words of the song. I came across this video and discovered what the song was about (I’m a bit slow)!

Fireworks by Katy Perry

This story of how they made the video is really cool – check it out HERE! I love how transparent and how real Katy seems in this video.

Watching these videos give me butterflies. I can’t wait to bring together amazing people from my network – to create something phenomenal like this!

Do YOU like Fireworks?

Here’s to an amazing 2011,

Summer/Basement Project DONE!

Remember my Summer Project?

Let me remind you briefly…

BEFORE

I actually went through the majority of the things the week after I pulled everything out in August. However, then I started to feel real lovely with my first trimester of Baby Beazley and it sat unfinished…for months!

A few weeks ago, I sweet talked my motivating husband to be my accountability buddy and help me finish. Every time I went down to finish, I caught up in, well I “should” keep this and I still “need” this. What I really needed was a kick in the butt.  With John’s “Clear your Clutter” mindset and move onto something more exciting approach, we finished the basement project (Summer Project)!!

AFTER

There are 12 days left in 2010! Do you have any “in-progress” projects you can finish up during your Christmas break?

I dare you…to clear off at LEAST ONE more action step from your list today!

Live Inspired,

My tarps arrived!

In 3 weeks, I will have my toes in the sand, laying in the sunshine, drinking fruity drinks with umbrellas – minus the alcohol!! I am BEYOND excited because I love hot weather and looking forward to escaping with my husband.

When this trip came up, I started to wonder what I was going to wear. I went searching for “tarps” (as my sister coined pregnancy bathing suits). I found a nice one at Thyme Maternity for around $75, THEN found the jackpot online!

Target had an amazing selection of maternity bathing suits from the Liz Lange collection. I wouldn’t have thought to look there, until I had heard Liz Lange speak at the SHINE Conference I attended in November.

Well, I just got my package and it was like Christmas – opening it up!!

For less than $50 US, I got ALL 5 of these pieces!! They fit fabulous – covering my growing belly. One question I have though, I am puzzled at why none of them are designed with under-wires!? I’m planning to go and visit my seamstress this week and see if we can add them, because my girls need all the help they can get!!

In case you’re looking for me in a couple weeks, I’ll be the gorgeous whale at the ocean! Have to always look at life from a positive angle ;)
