I have learned many amazing things from my wonderful husband. A big one is to keep my belongings clean, not only to help maintain their value but also to boost your self-respect and the image you portray to others around you.

Therefore, we often make dates out of going to the car wash and cleaning out the inside of our vehicles. We’re dorks, I realize!

So my question is:

Do YOU keep your vehicle clean?

You know that it only takes time and a couple dollars.

Would you be embarrassed of your car if someone you look up to or your idol needed a ride – RIGHT NOW?

I realize I don’t have children yet, however I have a nephew and nieces and I realize they throw food and things all over. I travel lots and my car can get out of hand very easily. However, it’s a decision to MAKE time to clean it out!

This also reminds me of a blog post John wrote for FarmOn.com called Look Who’s Coming.

A rule I’m going to ask you follow – PLEASE clean up after yourself and neatly put the wand and hose away after you use!

No one likes finding the car wash this way…

…however that doesn’t give you an excuse to leave it like this! Pay it forward…please.

Happy Cleaning,

I absolutely love awesome marketing – its one of those things that makes me all warm & fuzzy inside! I’m a dork, I know.

Did you know that as consumers we see 5000+ brands a day? Which ones do you remember?

This one made me giggle today!

It is an ATB Financial banner advertisement on their website. I spotted it when doing some online banking!

Our neighbors clearly didn’t know what they were in for when we moved in! He he…personally I think we’re awesome – no junk, quiet, host the odd “social event”!!

In all honestly, my hubby and I are really the LUCKY ones – as our neighbors have the same amazing attributes! Even kindly swap lawn mowing and snow removal jobs. Recall my Baa-Ram-Ewe post?

How many messages do you send daily? Do your emails make an impact?

A couple years ago, I saw some fellow consultants beautiful email signatures. I instantly had to have my own!! Luckily, I have the most talented graphic designers for friends.

Laura whipped a design up for me and ever since my gorgeous face has blessed Inbox’s all over the world. He he…

I am constantly learning from vibrant savvy business women. I love sharing the tips I like with others, so you can benefit also.

I came across The Sales Diva, Kim Duke on the Internet over a year ago – not sure if it was an email or website, but I’m hooked. She’s a very successful diva from Sherwood Park, Alberta. Watch out – she’ll blow your hair back with her straightforward approach. Here is a synopsis from her recent ezine:

Tattoo This Sales Tip On Your Body

I love tattoos. It must be the rebel side of me! I don’t have one YET, however, I’m considering one by the end of this year. (Don’t worry – I won’t go all Angelina Jolie or Kat Von D on you!)

I often joke with my seminar audiences to tattoo certain key phrases and tips on their bodies (the kind from bubble gum and lots of spit) – it gets a laugh and it reinforces that this stuff is CRITICAL.

Welllllllll… I have one for you today.

It’s critical and you just may want to “tattoo” it on your bod.

The Sales Diva Tattoo Phrase Of The Day?

Customers make decisions based on VALUE and NOT PRICE.

Right now, many people think buyers always go for the lowest price.
Oopsie – that would be a mistake on your part!

If that were the case you’d be driving the cheapest car, living in the cheapest house, wearing and using the cheapest EVERYTHING including using the Sears catalogue for toilet paper in the bathroom.

If a potential buyer asks about your pricing (and they will) if you immediately say

” Ohhhh these rates are flexible and we can offer it for less”

what you’re actually saying is….

“I’m really not any different than the competition,
and I don’t believe I’m worth this much.”

You’ll be seeing lots of RED INK if that’s your attitude lady!

Remember – it’s YOUR JOB to increase the perceived value of what you sell. Otherwise the potential customer thinks YOU ARE EXACTLY THE SAME as everyone else and they buy based on price.

Remember My Tattoo Mantra:

“Customers make decisions based on VALUE NOT PRICE.”

If you want to charge a higher price than the rest thennnn you’d better be ready to show off WHY your customer should fork out the cash.

You’d better be exceptional.
You’d better be different.
You’d better be ready to prove it.

Do Your Research – Kat Does!

If I want Kat Von D from LA Ink to do my tattoo there’s a year wait and a minimum $1000 price tag.

She may not be your cup of tea however you have to admit she’s brilliant at marketing and setting herself apart from the rest of the artists. TV show and more….you bet she can charge whatever she wants.

You don’t need a TV show to charge more money but you certainly need to get your act together.

So there.

What do your clients hear, when you leave a voicemail for them OR they hear your recorded message when calling you?

What impression are you leaving?

How you sound is just as important if not more than, what you’re actually saying. If you’re lucky enough to know me personally ;) you’re aware that I’m quite long winded. Therefore I’m not going to critique you on the length of your message. As you may know or can imagine, I leave jam packed, excited messages – a skill I inherited from my father!

Put yourself in the shoes of those that you hear your voice on the other end of the phone. When someone calls you and leaves you a message. Do you smile when you listen to their recording? Do you get excited to call them back?

When you’re calling someone and are promoted to leave a message. Are you attracted to the person’s voice? Are you pumped up to leave a message?

Make your messages reflect your positive side, establish credibility and be confident.

“Hi, you’ve reached Robyn Beazley, ____ (position & company). Please leave me a message, so that I can get back to you! I hope you’re having an amazing day. Bye.”

I love the responses I get: “I am having an amazing day, thanks” ”My day is going wonderful, I hope yours is too” “That is the best message I’ve ever heard Robyn, thanks for making me smile!” WOW – all this positive feedback, before they even tell me who is calling.

Action Steps to your personal message:

Write out what you want your recording to say.

Practice recording and listen to.

Record in front of a mirror, so you can see yourself smiling (you actually sound happier, when you’re smiling and talking!)

Have fun!

Action Steps to leaving a message:

Be 100% present when recording, so that your message comes out smooth.

Have a sense of urgency in your voice, to encourage a punctual call back.

“I dare you to make someone smile or laugh” (Robyn Beazley) with your message.
